LiveOps Plan(Valorant), Uni Capstone Project

 
​Role(s) and responsibilities

As the live ops manager for this project, I'm creating an effective 1 year liveops plan for the existing game, Valorant

​

Manager
  • Doing my research on the: Audience, market trends, competitor analysis, game metrics, community sentiment, recommendations and actionable insight

  • Defining the KPIs

  • Collaborating with artists and designers

    • Shared the vision of this plan using visual aids to help them understand the project

    • Set tasks, milestones and deadlines 

    • Regular check-ins for updates on their progress and should they need it, help

  • Looking at different types of live ops strategies that I could implement

  • Creating a axe timeline for both the production timing and communication timing(community announcement, public relations and media)

  • Defining the community(Demographics, psychographics, playstyle,    community platform, influencers, community tone and culture, engagement level, content preferences, feedback mechanic and purchase behavior)

  • Creating a road map of all contents that's planned to be released

  • Preparing the monetization plan

  • Social media communications detailed plan

  • Mailings and press release examples

​Role(s) and responsibilities

Level Design
  • Designed and built all the levels in unity using pre existing assets.

  • Tested the levels in a white box. environment to make sure models scales and dimensions were correct.

  • Worked on the theme and aesthetic change of each level as the story progresses. 
     

Narrative Design
  • Script of characters and progression of the story.

  • Wrote and implemented the NPC dialogue.

  • Created the story structure and character's arc.

Visual Scripting
  • Used visual scripting to make gameplay mechanics.

Research
  • Did my research on how the game's mechanics would fit my target audiences and make sure the dynamic of the game is as designed.

  • Tested the early versions of the game to ensure the design of the features and mechanics were pleasant to the players

Level Design
  • Designed the second floor of the level using modular assets, using parts of real life offices to have a realistic layout.

Puzzle Design
  • Designed the minigames and puzzles that the player has to face and solve when a malfunction in the game happens.
