My experience in competing and managing in pro e-sports

I started playing CSGO in early 2015 and got instantly hooked to the game. After some time I managed to get an invite to ESEA rank S which is a hub where only the person with the most points in the region in rank G(the lower hub) gets an invite. Rank S is where all the tier 1 pros play and compete for cash prizes.
It was when I played with the pros, I would then grind  the game even more to try get on a team and compete, although that never happened, I can not be glad of the experience I had gotten during that time.

I did attend some lan events and played in teams of mixed players which was fun and a great experience. During these times, I had to deal with teammates who after playing, had issues with each other which I stepped in to deal with, it was not easy as there was back bitting and things going on, but I had to make sure we all have a common goal which was to win.  Then I also took the role as team leader coming with strategies and adapting to different situations mid game.

After some time, a game called Valorant came out and I instantly got hooked, only problem is, I lived in Dubai at the time and there were no servers in my region when  the game came out, so I decided to coach and help other teams/players who needed structure, organization and generally looking to improve.

I started by coaching individual players of all ranks as I was an Radiant player(top 500 in my region and in NA), which I still do to this day.

After some time, I got in contact with some of my tier 1 pro friends who were/are on teams like NRG, Liquid and other big names, who I helped get through with in game and personal issues which affected their performance. I always had a good understanding of how players in a team can not work well and might not like each other which was an issues I was asked to step in and help out. There were lots of roaster swaps and other things which I had to adapt to, but in the end I was able to help the team and individual players.

I always felt I had a strong mindset and am quite good when it comes to managing and helping people both in the game with the stressful competitive environment and out of the game, making sure all the teammates were friends and not just teammates. There were tough calls to make at times when a person was a problem for everyone, but it's something I learned to make.

This is one of the reasons I chose to follow the game producer path over design.
